Nike Hercules Missile Base in Everglades National Park

A well-preserved relic of the Cold War, a Nike Hercules missile base in Everglades National Park is now open to the public for the first time since it was turned over to the park in 1979. The park is offering guided tours of the site which remains virtually unchanged since it was closed nearly 30 years ago.
